Hi, my name is Staci Hedke and I am a photographer in Dayton, Ohio. I work as a nurse on most weekends at Hospice and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. I love my job as a nurse, but photography keeps me grounded. I have two small boys and a wonderful husband! I feel blessed each day to be able to share my love of photography with others! My boys are now 7 and almost 4-WOW!! My 3 year old still doesn't care for photography days, but I don't mind getting a rotten look on his face. It just shows this stage for him-ha ha! I got smiles, but they are always too fake, so I just go with the frowns. Then my 7 year old is always so serious, but that can be kinda cute sometimes so I go with that as well. I always tell people that a big smile is not necessary-what we are trying to do is capture children at the stages they are in. I would much rather get an inquisitive look on a 2 year old face than a huge smile.
Well, back to my boys. First their is Jackson, who has the kindest heart and I can see the love in his eyes that he has for those around him. He has a tender heart that I know will help him make a difference in life! Owen is just the coolest kid. He LOVES everyone and when I can't find him (like at Jack's baseball games) he is usually sitting with a random person talking to them. He loves interacting with ANYONE! Just the other day I let him play in the backyard and when I glanced out to check on him he had gone through the gate to the yard behind us and was sitting on a porch swing next to a man talking to him. Apparently he has a lot to talk about!
I love photographing my boys, but it isn't easy to fit into my BUSY schedule, so I always feel a big accomplishment when I get it done! Whew--I can't believe I even wrote anything in this post. Well-back to editing!
Yes-this was the cool door photo shoot. I found a really cool church that had these doors, but I had to edit out a handrail and some signs on the doors. Like with most kids, if one of my kids is looking at me, then the other is not!

This family was GREAT! It was super hot and I always have a ton of ideas, but they were troopers! And-I think I am now out of banner ideas, so to everyone who has asked for this type of pic--I think I am retiring my many banners for a while! They are so cute, but I really don't want to be known as the banner photographer! Ha Ha
